As goosebumps formed up and down his spine, Elliot caught the slight glimpse of a white flicker out of the corner of his eye. With a jerk, he spun around to see what it was, but the flicker was gone. “Is that you?”, he questioned, “How can I help you?”
A scratching sound came from his bedroom closet. Elliot drew in a deep breath and proceeded to slowly walk toward the sound. As the floor creaked under the weight of his body, the two sounds combined was causing Elliot’s heart to race.
With what seemed like hours, he made it to the closet and stood in front of the door. Elliot placed his hand on the knob of the door and slowly began to open it. The scratching noise stopped, but his heart was still pounding in his chest.
